Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters

An area of low pressure lifting out of northeast Texas will provide an increasing west to northwest flow later tonight. Onshore flow will resume late Wednesday as high pressure moves into the western Gulf of Mexico. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Friday night as the low pressure deepens over the Texas Panhandle. A cold front will push through the coastal waters Saturday afternoon. A strong offshore flow is expected to develop Saturday night in wake of the front. There will be a slight chance of showers along the front.

Tonight West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Wednesday West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth.
Wednesday Night Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight.
Thursday Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming south in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth.
Thursday Night South winds around 10 knots. Bay waters smooth to slightly choppy.
Friday South winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy. A slight chance of showers in the afternoon.

Saturday South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth increasing to slightly choppy in the afternoon. A chance of showers.
Saturday Night North winds 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters choppy. A chance of showers.
Sunday Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters choppy decreasing to slightly choppy in the afternoon. A chance of showers.
Sunday Night Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to around 5 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight. A slight chance of showers.
